Music of Resistance & Hope
As we prepare for Songs of Black Folk 2025, we continue celebrating the rich musical traditions of the African diaspora. This production honors the resilience, creativity, and legacy of Black music, from spirituals to gospel, jazz, and beyond. Each year, we strive to elevate Songs of Black Folk as the premier Juneteenth event in the Pacific Northwest, bringing together world-class artists and storytellers.

SBF 2025 will once again showcase the music born from the struggles and triumphs of enslaved Black people, tracing its evolution from Negro Spirituals to blues, jazz, gospel, R&B, hip-hop, and spoken word. Stay tuned for an unforgettable experience that uplifts, inspires, and celebrates the power of song.
